Which temperature range should I choose?

Choose 2–8 °C for fresh fish, milk collection and vaccines. Choose −18 °C for frozen fish storage or ice making. A dual-compartment unit can do both with separate evaporators.

Can it run without any battery?

For vaccine cold chain, yes — a solar direct drive unit stores cold in the thermal mass and runs only when the sun shines. For fish freezing we recommend 5 kWh of storage so the room keeps temperature overnight.
